Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the incumbent will foster an environment conducive to professional growth and development. This role involves collaborating with management to engage team members across all levels, effectively identifying training and development needs, and implementing programs that align with business objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for new hires and existing team members.
  • Assess and document training activities and their effectiveness.
  • Conduct orientation and service training for new employees, providing refreshers as necessary.
  • Develop and curate training materials, including manuals and visual aids, to support training initiatives.
  • Create tailored training content for property-specific courses and recommend updates as needed.
  • Identify training needs through discussions with management and observations.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness periodically and prepare reports for the Human Resources Director.
  • Utilize diverse instructional techniques such as role play, simulations, and group discussions to present information.
  • Establish and maintain an annual training calendar.
  • Keep accurate training records and reports.
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is essential; prior experience in casino or hospitality settings is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office are necessary.
  • Instructional Design and Measurement:
    Implement adult learning principles in training design and delivery. Develop metrics to ensure training objectives are met and monitor the effectiveness of programs.
  • Learning Strategies:
    Select appropriate instructional methods and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Communication and Delivery:
    Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage learners effectively.
  • Critical Thinking:
    Utilize logical reasoning to evaluate various solutions and adapt as necessary.
  • Relationship Building:
    Build strong relationships with team members and collaborate with management to enhance skills and knowledge.

Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work:
Establish clear goals and strategies to manage projects effectively and achieve desired outcomes.


Work Environment:

  • Exposure to typical casino-related environmental factors, including noise and interaction with the public.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of items weighing 20 pounds or more may be required.
  • The work environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and can be crowded.
