Our counseling team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality therapy to individuals seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.

Your Role as an Addiction Recovery Counselor:

The Addiction Recovery Counselor plays a vital role in the treatment and recovery of patients dealing with opioid use disorder. Counselors provide empathetic, high-quality care through individual and group therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate guidance in both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Plan, oversee, facilitate, and document patient recovery processes.
  • Co-facilitate assigned group or family therapy sessions as required.
  • Ensure timely and clear documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each assigned patient.
  • Conduct initial assessments and follow-up evaluations.
  • Assess patient needs and determine if referrals to additional programs or facilities are necessary.
  • Plan aftercare for assigned patients as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention to patients when necessary.
  • Manage case responsibilities for patients, ensuring tailored quality care.
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients as needed.
Compensation for positions at Sacramento Comprehensive Treatment Center varies based on numerous factors, including but not limited to specific location, role, skill set, and experience level.

Qualifications

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field preferred;
  • Degree must be from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience and knowledge in addiction recovery and/or MAT (medication-assisted treatment) settings.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • RADT registration required;
  • Certification or License preferred.
  • Must be obtained from a CA approved Counselor Certification Organization (RADT, CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP); or
  • LMFT, LCSW, PhD, or PsyD.
