Job Title: APP - Advanced Practice Provider - Pediatric Hematology & Oncology

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at OU Health. As an APP, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a dual role of outpatient and/or inpatient setting.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with administrative, nursing, physician, and university faculty to provide safe, effective, and quality patient care.
  • Participate in research opportunities to advance patient care and treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Services.
  • 3 or more years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in designated specialty preferred.
  • Prescriptive authority within 6 months of hire.
  • Active RN and APNP license in State of Oklahoma (for Nurse Practitioners) or Active PA license in State of Oklahoma (for Physician Assistants).
  • Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC and/or the AANP (for Nurse Practitioners) or Active Physician Assistant certification issued by the NCCPA (for Physician Assistants).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation, and epidemiology of medical conditions.
  • High degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area.
  • Advanced level of medical/nursing clinical knowledge, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
