Key Responsibilities:

  • Load or assist in loading trailers with materials
  • Unload or assist in unloading trailers using forklifts or hand trucks
  • Operate semi-trucks with one or two trailers, adhering to state laws
  • Transport loads over required routes to proper destinations, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Conduct standard DOT truck inspections
  • Complete all company and DOT required paperwork
  • Complete shipping bills of lading, receive necessary signatures, and return completed paperwork to the shipping office
  • Maintain related records
  • Perform miscellaneous service duties, including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air in tires daily
  • Report any maintenance malfunctions to the maintenance department
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A CDL is required; a hazmat endorsement is preferred
  • A driving record that meets company standards
  • Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Compensation & Benefits:

Nutrien offers a competitive salary range of $30.14 an hour for a Class A CDL Delivery Driver in San Marcos, CA. Actual salary and benefits may differ based on location.

We provide an attractive benefits package, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance, as well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. Our benefits package also includes a retirement program with generous matching employer contributions, paid vacation, sick days, holidays, paid personal and maternity/parental leaves, and an Employee and Family Assistance Program.

In addition to base pay, this role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s). Details will be discussed through the application process.
