JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Utility

Department: Store / Warehouse

FLSA: Non-Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Utility professional, you will utilize your understanding of operational protocols, equipment setup, and maintenance techniques. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, self-motivation, and the ability to independently manage various tasks as outlined below.

Supervision:

This position reports directly to the location manager and does not involve supervising other staff members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing continuous assistance to customers;
  • Handling all boring tasks for designated areas;
  • Ensuring compliance with all operational procedures, preventative maintenance, and safety standards as per the Company Operations Manual and related handbooks;
  • Participating in special projects as needed;
  • Maintaining punctuality and reliability in attendance.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidates should possess a solid understanding and capability to perform general labor tasks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred;
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report must be submitted for approval prior to employment.
Requirements of Work:
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and repair processes;
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain workshop equipment;
  • Technical and mechanical skills necessary for daily departmental operations;
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities to address new challenges;
  • Capacity to manage customer concerns positively;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment;
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills within a team setting;
  • Proficiency in English for clear verbal and written communication;
  • Adherence to all company policies, including safe driving practices, and prompt reporting of any incidents.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds unaided or more with assistance;
  • Occasional requirements to sit, walk, stand, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, push, pull, crouch, and twist;
  • Must be able to climb, balance, crawl, and communicate effectively;
  • Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment;
  • Potential exposure to various environmental conditions, including humidity, mechanical parts, chemicals, and varying temperatures;
  • Considerable mobility is necessary for this role.
