Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are currently hiring a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of healthcare professionals at TotalMed Staffing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients with communication disorders.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech-language pathology, with experience in assessing and treating patients with a range of communication disorders. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy sessions to improve articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and voice quality, collaborating with healthcare professionals and caregivers, and documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and voice quality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to coordinate patient care and treatment goals.
  • Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and provide education to patients and their families.
