Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Underwriting Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to our underwriting team, brokers, and carrier partners, ensuring seamless policy administration and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Administration: Assist in the setup and coordination of new business and renewal policies, including data collection and information follow-up.
- Loss Runs: Order and manage loss runs as required.
- Binders and Invoicing: Issue binders and manage invoicing processes.
- Production Logs: Maintain accurate production logs for underwriting.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Account Management: Manage account documentation, including proposals and internal risk evaluation documents.
- Customer Service: Provide prompt and professional service to agents and underwriters through phone and written correspondence.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the property casualty insurance industry, with a focus on commercial lines.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other database software. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Education: High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent work experience desired.
