Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Greg's Japanese Auto. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure our customers receive exceptional service and their vehicles are repaired to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport customers to and from their destination using our company vehicle.
  • Pick up parts, supplies, and tires from vendors and/or our corporate office using the company vehicle.
  • Operate the company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws.
  • Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles in an ethical manner, following all company and state guidelines.
  • Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
  • Perform oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
  • Observe general vehicle condition and point out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and outside the building to maintain a clean and inviting appearance.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays
  • Previous automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars.
