Position Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Professional to play a pivotal role in supporting our operations within our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of inventory for finished goods across various facilities.
- Lead EHS initiatives, establishing priorities, metrics, and goals to integrate processes seamlessly.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to manage Workers Compensation across multiple states.
- Promote a culture of safety aligned with DECIEM's innovative ethos.
- Develop and deliver training programs.
- Support Security and Loss Prevention efforts.
- Conduct safety observations and provide coaching support on the floor.
- Complete necessary OSHA reporting and address daily operational EHS concerns in collaboration with facility leadership.
- Serve as the primary liaison for EHS matters with regulatory authorities.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments and inspections to create and implement control programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in health & safety in a leadership role.
- At least 2 years of experience in people management.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and project management skills.
- Experience in compliance within ISO certified environments.
- Relevant educational background or equivalent experience in Environmental Sciences or Occupational Health and Safety.
