Job Summary

The Siskin Children's Institute is seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team as a Clinical Therapist. As a BCBA, you will provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for children with autism spectrum disorder and/or other related behavioral and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments: Develop and implement individualized behavior plans to address challenging behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Provide Direct Behavior Therapy: Deliver evidence-based ABA services to young children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in home, school, and/or clinical settings.
  • Design Behavioral Interventions: Develop and implement behavioral interventions based on client needs and current research in the field of ABA.
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Provide training, supervision, and oversight to Registered Behavior Technician's (RBT's) and other non-certified staff.
  • Data Analysis: Graph and visually analyze data to inform treatment decisions and program development.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the pediatric center medical and therapy team to ensure comprehensive care and exceptional outcomes for patients.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Education: Master's degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and their families.
  • Skills: Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, thorough knowledge of child development, experience developing positive behavior support plans and programs, knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behavior analysis and discrete trial training, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patients, parents, and professionals, basic computer skills, and ability to use required software.
