Senior Lethality Systems Engineer

Position Title: Lethality Hardware Engineer
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Onsite Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
- Expertise in hardware design
- Proficiency in both Analog and Digital circuit design
Role Overview:
The Lethality Hardware Engineer will be responsible for:
- Possessing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a similar discipline.
- Having a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Utilizing Engineering Development and Testing Tools effectively.
- Creating innovative technical solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Engaging with senior external stakeholders on technical issues.
- Directing efforts towards achieving significant program objectives.
- Traveling to supplier and government facilities as required.
Desired Knowledge Areas:
- Familiarity with IPC and MIL standards.
- Expertise in Digital and Analog circuit design.
- Understanding of Gyroscopes, Encoders, and Camera systems.
- Experience in developing component and subsystem requirements.
- Knowledge of Model-based Motion Control methodologies.
- Proficiency in PWM and PID control techniques.
- Experience with Test Equipment such as Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, and Function Generators.
- Skills in power, thermal analysis, timing, biasing, voltage and current control, and data packet analysis.
- Competence in schematic development, component selection, circuit simulation, and PCB layout.
- Familiarity with engineering design, development, and analysis software.
- Experience in Servo Control systems.
- Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink Control, MATHCAD, and Mentor Graphics tools.
- Knowledge of microprocessor-based products and various networking standards.
- Experience with microcontrollers, including configuration and programming.
- Understanding of industry interface standards and form factors.
- Familiarity with serial interconnects and graphics/video interfaces.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices and standards.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C#.
Note: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. This position is with a US Federal Government contractor, and only US Citizens will be considered for this role.
