Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Battle Creek, MI. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our production equipment operates efficiently, helping us bring cereal to customers. You'll work on a variety of mechanical equipment, from production to packaging, and collaborate with operations, safety, and expert maintenance leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting Preventative Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production equipment and buildings, aiming for excellence every day.
  • Ensuring Performance Efficiency: Manage machine performance by supporting Operations when they encounter mechanical failures or issues during production, as well as equipment set-up and change overs.
  • Following Best Practices: Understand, follow, and enforce all established guidelines, ensuring compliance with safety, health, quality, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
  • Journeyman's OR Mechanical/Technical Degree OR 4 years of equivalent experience highly preferred.
Incentives
  • $36.99/hour PLUS shift premium and COLA (cost of living adjustment).
  • 2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm, 3rd Shift: 11pm-7am.
