We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Battle Creek, MI. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting Preventative Maintenance - Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production equipment and buildings to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensuring Performance Efficiency - Manage machine performance by supporting Operations when they encounter mechanical failures or issues during production, as well as equipment set-up and change overs.
  • Following Best Practices - Understand, follow, and enforce all established guidelines, ensuring compliance with safety, health, quality, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
Requirements
  • Basic Knowledge of Troubleshooting Industrial Manufacturing Equipment - Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required - A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic Computer Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Behavior-Based Safety Systems - Understanding of behavior-based safety systems and their implementation.
  • Physical Demands - Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and/or perform repetitive tasks throughout the day, with occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Preferred Qualifications - Journeyman's certification, Mechanical/Technical degree, or 4 years of equivalent experience.
