Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit sales and excise tax filings on a timely basis, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to market staff and other internal parties on tax-related matters, including exemption certificates and legislative updates.
  • Review and analyze tax records, preparing and maintaining accurate and complete tax returns, schedules, estimates, and extensions.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvements, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain real and personal property tax schedules, ensuring timely tax payments and preparing annual declarations and rebate applications.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or tax environment.
  • Strong investigative technique, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of tax and accounting concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Working knowledge of GL accounting software, such as Sage Intacct.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Education and Certification

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

This position requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking, as well as visual acuity and frequent use of fingers to write, type, and handle paperwork.
