Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Aeroshell Thermal Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level analysis and support for the development of thermal protection systems for the Orion space vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work related to thermal protection systems.
• Develop and analyze space vehicle thermal models and related analysis processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of thermal protection systems with other Orion systems.
• Provide technical expertise and support to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, structural, or thermal engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of recent and relevant experience in thermal analysis and protection systems.
• Experience with thermal desktop tools, thermal analysis software, and Monte Carlo analysis.
• Strong understanding of Orion drawing release processes and checking activities.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience working on Orion thermal protection systems analysis.
• Experience with NASA spaceflight programs and related technologies.

Work Environment

• Work location: Houston, Texas, or Denver, Colorado.
• Hybrid or remote work options available.
• Potential 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
• Some travel may be required.

$100,000 - $160,000 annually.
