Aeroshell Thermal Analyst

Bastion Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Aeroshell Thermal Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide expertise in reentry analysis for Orion Thermal Protection Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
• Develop and analyze space vehicle thermal models and related analyses processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

• This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status due to the sensitivity of customer-related information.
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical/structural/thermal engineering or a related field is required.
• 10+ years of recent and related experience are required.
• Experience with thermal desktop, thermal analysis tools, Monte Carlo analysis, and Orion Drawing release process and checking activities is required.

Desired:

• Previous experience on Orion thermal protection systems analysis is desired.
• Experience with NASA spaceflight programs is desired.

Work Location:

• Work location is Houston, Texas, or Denver, Colorado.
• This position offers a hybrid or remote option.
• This position offers a potential 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
• This position may require some travel.

Salary Range:

• $100,000 - $160,000 annually
