Shift Requirements:
Previous experience in post-surgical or Trauma/Ortho settings is preferred. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as per unit needs.

Guaranteed Hours:
36 hours per week.

Experience Required:
Minimum of 1 year in a nursing role.
Licensure:
Must possess a current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a valid multistate compact RN License (eNLC).

Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Comprehensive understanding of nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Capability to organize, plan, coordinate, and assess nursing services while applying nursing techniques effectively.
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competence in addressing the cultural and linguistic needs of patients and their families.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care under general supervision to a diverse patient population with varying health issues, from simple to complex.
  • Take responsibility for a designated group of patients.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting any changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and in conducting minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Collect and monitor physiological data, observing patients' physiological responses and intervening as necessary.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver competent patient care consistently.
  • Engage with patients and their families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge.
  • Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
  • Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel as required.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
