About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Planning Manager to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our Commercial Strategy team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive efficiency and effectiveness across our US SME organizations.

As a Strategic Planning Manager, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, ensure strategic alignment across critical stakeholders, and launch business initiatives ranging from B2B pipeline growth initiatives to Compliance mandated changes.

You will be responsible for developing impactful presentations, content, agendas, and internal processes for key internal and external meetings. You will also ensure lockstep alignment with SME commercial teams, harness Voice of the Customer feedback through client-facing colleagues, and help inform partner roadmaps and plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies that drive efficiency and effectiveness across US SME organizations
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and ensure strategic alignment
  • Launch business initiatives ranging from B2B pipeline growth initiatives to Compliance mandated changes
  • Develop impactful presentations, content, agendas, and internal processes for key internal and external meetings

Requirements:

  • 5 years of professional experience in sales, B2B marketing, and corporate strategy
  • Exceptional communication skills, people leadership, and ability to successfully prioritize and project manage
  • Experience driving matrixed change across multiple groups, partners, and leadership levels
  • Outstanding presentation skills, both written and verbal, and high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
