Job Title: Director, Strategic Planning

Job Summary:

The Director, Strategic Planning, is a seasoned brand builder and client-facing planning lead with a strong track record of managing complex accounts and pitches. They possess exceptional strategic storytelling skills and the ability to guide insight generation and campaign development. With a talent for quickly building personal equity and establishing themselves as a strategic leader, they excel in taking on new and possibly more challenging accounts, leading new business and attending pitch presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute expert-level brand strategies for assigned brands, leveraging market research and data analysis to inform and strengthen creative.
  • Lead strategic planning responsibilities on multiple large and small accounts, new business, and/or support senior planners on larger, integrated accounts, with autonomy and proficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pull-through of insights and strategy, and drive influence toward a strategic POV and recommendation internally and with senior clients.
  • Supervise and develop lower-level staff, delegate incoming tasks and assignments, and make hiring and staffing decisions.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in brand strategy or market research in an agency setting preferred.
  • Competent in software specific to client and agency processes, including Microsoft Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent working knowledge in research tools, social media platforms, and AI platforms as an accelerant for brand needs and strategic deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of agency offerings, services, products, and solutions, as well as brand/pharma marketing and promotional strategy and trends.

Salary: $160,000 to $230,000 annually. The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting, and where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
