About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric RN to join our Medical Respiratory Care Unit at Lowell General Hospital. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients, and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Care for pre and post-operative patients, as well as patients with conditions such as pneumonia, asthma, appendicitis, cellulitis, and tonsillitis.
- Perform rapid assessments, start IVs, assess lungs, administer respiratory treatments, and provide education for discharge.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
- Participate in unit-based councils and other council opportunities to contribute to the development of nursing practice and patient care.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of in-patient, acute care pediatric RN experience.
- Strong preference for experience with medical-surgical patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
