JA Center Support Associate

Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore is on the lookout for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to assist in the execution of educational field trips at our JA Center. This position plays a crucial role in collaborating with the JA Education Team to facilitate the daily operations of the JA BizTown and JA Finance Park simulations, ensuring a high-quality and impactful experience for students, volunteers, and educators alike.
This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling options. Candidates should be prepared to work between 2 to 5 days per week during the academic year (Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and holidays).
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and organize the facility for school and external visits by adhering to morning setup protocols and afternoon cleaning procedures.
- Conduct morning training sessions for volunteers and manage their check-in process.
- Throughout the simulation, ensure that volunteers remain on schedule and receive the necessary support.
- Deliver exceptional instructional quality and customer service to all stakeholders, including educators, students, and volunteers.
- Efficiently manage simulation days by leading processes over the microphone when volunteers and students are present.
- Diagnose and resolve common technical issues while ensuring devices are stored and charged appropriately.
- Assist the JA Center Manager with the JA BizTown and/or JA Finance Park software by setting up daily simulations and generating reports.
- Oversee the inventory of curriculum materials, simulation supplies, and inform the Manager of any restocking needs.
- Maintain open communication with the Manager to address potential issues, questions, or concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- A genuine passion for engaging with students, educators, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in computer skills.
- Detail-oriented with the capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills, including problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with comfort in using a microphone.
- A highly resourceful team player who can also work effectively independently.
