Department Overview
This role offers 2-3 evening shifts (4-hour shifts) with a flexible schedule in a supportive work environment.
Position Summary
The Culinary Service Associate is tasked with various responsibilities, including monitoring and documenting food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving meals, restocking food supplies, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, and processing payments for food and beverages using a computerized register.
This position adheres to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards for food safety. The role requires delivering exceptional customer service and effective communication with both patrons and colleagues. The ability to foster positive working relationships is essential.Quality Control
Maintaining high standards of quality control is crucial. The associate may operate equipment such as grills, beverage dispensers, toasters, ice cream machines, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers.
Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred.Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and food service is advantageous. Candidates should possess the ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions, as well as perform basic math. On-the-job training will be provided.
Depending on the hiring location, obtaining Serv Safe certification may be required within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be necessary based on location requirements.
