Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage third-party cybersecurity risks throughout the supplier lifecycle, including preboarding, onboarding, ongoing assessments, and offboarding.
  • Conduct inherent risk evaluations of suppliers based on engagement levels and data types exchanged.
  • Evaluate suppliers' cybersecurity controls to determine the residual risk associated with partnerships.
  • Identify gaps in supplier controls, assess exposure and potential impact, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier engagement changes and breach notifications to initiate necessary reassessments.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, business stakeholders, and cybersecurity management to finalize supplier assessments.
  • Communicate due diligence requirements and documentation needs to third parties and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with Legal to formulate standard contractual clauses based on risk levels associated with supplier relationships.
  • Develop and refine standards, processes, and templates while identifying opportunities to enhance the third-party assessment workflow.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats, industry best practices, and regulatory standards related to third-party risk management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Possession of certifications such as CRISC, CTPRP, CISM, CISA, or CISSP, or a minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, primarily focused on third-party risk management.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, certifications, and audits including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2, ISAE 3402, PCI compliance, and HIPAA.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as CCPA, GDPR, NYDFS 500, Bermuda Monetary Authority, and UK Financial Conduct Authority.
  • Knowledge of cloud service models, application security best practices, and vulnerability management.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, capable of breaking down tasks into manageable components and assessing their urgency and time requirements.
  • Adept at collaborating across various teams to ensure program objectives are met through effective communication and trust-building.
Compensation Overview

The actual base salary may vary and could be above or below the stated range, influenced by factors such as experience, expertise, and skills. The base salary is one element of Ascot's comprehensive compensation package, which may also include an annual cash bonus, long-term incentives, and other discretionary rewards provided by the Company.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $95,000 - $105,000 (for candidates in the US).
