Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Amira Choice Sarasota, a vibrant senior Assisted Living community in Sarasota, Florida. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including implementing practitioners' orders, administering medications, and operating medical equipment.
  • Lift and transfer residents as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Initiate emergency treatment as necessary, responding promptly to changing resident conditions.
  • Monitor the work and performance of unlicensed staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Update the RN with current observations and complete documentation of resident health status.
  • Communicate changes in resident conditions to relevant individuals, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • May support the RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements, and care plans.
Requirements
  • Current FL LPN licensure by start date.
  • AHA (American Heart Association) BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare experience, preferably in a senior living or long-term care setting.
  • Comfortable using computers, handheld devices, phones, and fax machines.
