Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Roman Catholic Priest to join our team at Ladgov Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will provide spiritual guidance, support, and care to our personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Roman Catholic worship, sacramental ministrations, and religious guidance to personnel.
  • Offer pastoral care and counseling to authorized personnel as requested, required, and scheduled.
  • Assist the Command Chaplain with advice in defining, validating, and implementing CRP Planned Ministry Objectives for Roman Catholic personnel.
  • Facilitate the religious needs of non-Roman Catholic personnel by referring them to other members of the CRP.
  • Perform administrative requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct Roman Catholic Mass, Sacramental preparation, pastoral counseling, and consultation with the Command Chaplain.
  • Conduct and oversee the training and certification of worship volunteers.
  • Conduct Advent and Lenten Penance Services.
  • Conduct annual First Communion and Confirmation Services.
  • Compose Prayers of the Faithful for Sunday and Holy Day liturgies.
  • Perform additional sacramental and emergency ministrations.
  • Prepare personnel and authorized family members for sacramental ministrations.
  • Schedule, administer, and conduct Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage Services.
  • Provide Anointing of the Sick and Funeral/Memorial Services as requested and authorized.
  • Conduct and supervise Roman Catholic religious education and spiritual formation programs.
  • Instruct and supervise the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, scripture study sessions, and the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine programs.
  • Attend community-building fellowship events.
  • Perform necessary administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Shall be ordained Roman Catholic priests.
  • Shall possess a general working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook or equivalent software and desktop computer hardware.
  • Have a working understanding of Navy organization and the pluralistic ministry requirements that affect the use of chapel facilities and staff.
  • Shall be able to perform primarily sedentary work. Some walking, standing, carrying of light items, cleaning of immediate work area is required.
  • Shall be fluent in written and spoken English.
