Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for developing and implementing SAM processes, policies, and procedures to ensure effective management of software assets across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end SAM operations and administration, including software data quality checks, data processing, and reporting.
  • Bring in best practices related to license consumption reporting using the SAM tool.
  • Enable automation best practices for collection and normalization of software discovery data from various discovery tools.
  • Document software request management and license compliance process, procedures, and roles & responsibilities.
  • Share ideas and implement improvement initiatives in software asset and license compliance procedures.
  • Document procedures & communication templates for software non-compliance situations.
  • Execute tasks to bring software titles back into compliance per documented procedure.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Hardware and Software Asset Management lifecycle and Software License Compliance Management.
  • Strong understanding of various publisher licensing models (i.e. Processor-based, Core based, Floating Users).
  • Excellent knowledge of building processes and procedure documents and explaining the possible outcomes of each process with the SAM process.
  • Very strong focus on process and ability to document procedures.
  • Expert in complex publisher licensing i.e. Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Vmware, Symentec.
  • Must know about different data attributes required to calculate license consumption.
  • Ability to work with data from various systems to locate information such as Contracts, purchase records, license agreements, etc.
  • Basic understanding of different discovery tools (i.e. ServiceNow Discovery).
  • Exceptional communication skills (English language).
  • Ability to effectively manage people and process.
  • Expert in data management tools (MS Excel, Smartsheets, MS Access).
  • Experience with SAM Pro.
  • Experience in a global or large company with >10,000 hardware assets or >1,000 software titles.
  • ITIL trained/Certified.
  • Certified in any SAM program (CSAM) (Desired).
  • Know SQL data schema and query writing.
