We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neurology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week on a 31-bed pediatric neuroscience unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including assessment and medical history, physical exams, diagnosis, and family-centered care.

About the Role

As a Pediatric Neurology Advanced Practice Provider, you will be an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with neurologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders. Your primary responsibility will be to provide first-line care to our Neurology and Epilepsy patient population, including consulting in an interdisciplinary manner on assigned inpatients during daily rounds and managing patients throughout the day.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' medical histories, perform physical exams, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with neurologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of new treatments and best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, monitor patients' progress, and facilitate transitions to home or other care settings.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the profession through publications, presentations, and participation in professional organizations.
Requirements
  • Masters in Nursing and Licensed PNP or FNP.
  • At least 2 years of pediatric acute care RN or NP experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of BCH NP experience preferred.
  • Previous EPIC experience strongly preferred.
