Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Interaction: Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner, creating a warm and inviting environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage patient intake and discharge, schedule appointments, and perform basic reception duties.
  • Cash Handling: Reconcile the cash drawer daily, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Patient Education: Educate clients about Wellness Plans and patient care as directed by the veterinary medicine team.
  • Medical Charting: Prepare and maintain thorough and accurate medical charts for all patients, meeting hospital quality control standards.
  • Team Support: Maximize the efficiency of the veterinary team by effectively managing patient flow.
Customer Service Delivery
  • Professionalism: Consistently provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service to clients and patients.
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills when interacting with the veterinary team and clients.
  • Adaptability: Effectively adapt to individual clients and their needs, providing personalized support and care.
  • Conflict Resolution: Effectively resolve customer complaints as needed, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience, with front desk experience a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently and exercise good judgment, and proficiency in basic computer software systems.
Work Environment

The reception position is performed onsite at our hospital or at an approved offsite event location. Remote work is not available for this position. The hospital environment includes limited space, smells from pet waste, and noise (barking, etc.). Schedules may include 10+ hour shifts, Saturdays, evenings, and holidays.
