Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of students in the electrical trades program.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to students in the classroom and laboratory settings.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other educators and industry professionals to ensure that the electrical trades program is aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and industry partners to provide students with opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and job placement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Career and Technology Education or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the electrical trades industry or a related field.
  • Valid Maryland teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Career and Technology Education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in a vocational or technical education setting.
  • Industry certifications or licenses in electrical trades.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
