Carpentry Instructor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Instructor to join our team at Baltimore City Public Schools. As a key member of our Career and Technical Education department, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Carpentry and Construction Trades program.

• Develop and implement instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of students in the Carpentry and Construction Trades program.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to students in the use of tools and equipment related to Carpentry and Construction Trades.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents on student performance.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in Career and Technical Education.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Career and Technical Education or a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in Carpentry and Construction Trades, with a focus on teaching and mentoring.
• Possession of or eligibility for NCCER instructor certification.
• Possession of or eligibility for Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP).
