About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at North Shore Physicians Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as a flow manager to ensure efficient patient flow through the office
  • Assist the Provider and/or Nurse with patient care during the office visit, including examination, procedures, and treatments as directed
  • Perform clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management, such as phone triage, test results, prescription refill, and coordination of care
  • Maintain neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Provide an exceptional care experience by interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs

Requirements

  • Completion of a formal, post-secondary clinical training program (e.g., Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Nursing Assistant) or matriculation in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in nursing (RN)
  • Strongly preferred: Certificate, Diploma, or Associates Degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited program, a minimum of 2 years of ambulatory experience in a physician's office setting, primary care experience, and National Medical Assistant Certification
