Job Summary:

The Culinary Supervisor is a key member of the Wild Dunes Resort, A Destination by Hyatt team, responsible for overseeing the production and execution of food products, as well as supervising the culinary team in the absence of the Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Production and Execution: Assist in the preparation and daily production of restaurants, room service, and outlet menus, ensuring high-quality, consistent food products.
  • Culinary Team Supervision: Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure resort, state, and federal food health and safety standards are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain ingredients, supplies, and equipment under the direction of the chef, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to achieve operational goals, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Culinary Experience: Previous culinary experience is required, with a strong background in food production and team supervision.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, chefs, and other stakeholders.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds, with frequent repetitive hand and arm movements.
