Physician - Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist - Corewell Health System

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, a premier pediatric medical facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a member of our Behavioral Health team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, providing expert care and support in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
About the PositionThis is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, with opportunities for inpatient and outpatient practice. You will work closely with a comprehensive behavioral health care team, including psychology, psychotherapy, nursing, and social work, as well as Advanced Practice Provider support. Our hospital offers a wide range of services, including outpatient, medical inpatient, and ED consultation liaison, making us an ideal place for both experienced child psychiatrists and new graduates to work in their desired area of practice.
Key Features of the Position- 90-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups for outpatient practice
- Opportunities for inpatient practice, including consultation liaison and rotation on pediatric medical floors and ED, as well as on the inpatient Pediatric Medical Psychiatric Unit
- Work with a comprehensive behavioral health care team, including psychology, psychotherapy, nursing, and social work, as well as Advanced Practice Provider support
- Teaching opportunity with pediatric residents and medical students
- Inpatient nighttime call and unit weekend rounding for inpatient psychiatrists for additional compensation
- Team inbasket coverage while you're away from work, with providers rotating coverage to manage calls and refill requests
- J1 or H1B visas support available
- Salaried position with bonus
