Salary Details

The estimated salary for this position is $24.00 per hour.

Job Description

This role involves providing high-quality security services to protect people and property by conducting armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and/or exterior).

You will control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct.

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  • Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of a fire or unauthorized presence.
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden items.
  • Permit authorized individuals to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
  • Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of company property and ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess or be able to obtain any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
  • Be at least 21 years old, or higher if required by the state.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Assess and evaluate situations effectively.
  • Identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
