Diagnostic Sonographer

The Diagnostic Sonographer is a vital member of our Radiology team, utilizing high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to aid in medical diagnosis. This role requires a strong foundation in ultrasound technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

• Perform scanning examinations as requested by referring physicians, modifying the examination as needed based on findings.
• Assist radiologists or clinicians in special procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Conduct routine equipment checks to ensure optimal performance and quality control.
• React quickly to emergency situations, such as patient fainting or unsafe conditions, and take necessary actions to ensure patient safety.
• Provide patient modesty, comfort, and privacy throughout the examination process.

• Travel may be required for this position.
• Maintain inventory of department supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrate willingness to accept non-routine work assignments as needed.
• Perform quality control checks on images and patient information in the Radiology system.
• Obtain and sterilize instruments as needed.
