Job Summary:

As a key member of the Kaiser Permanente team, the Service Unit Non RN Manager II plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care to our members. This position is responsible for managing the operations of a large unit or multiple units in an outpatient facility, ensuring that staff provides exceptional patient-focused services that meet local, state, and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages the day-to-day operations of a large unit or multiple units, including developing and maintaining budgets and on-going staff development.

Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers to establish, implement, and maintain patient care and quality service standards that meet member and internal client expectations.

Acts as a patient advocate, resolving patient care issues and ensuring that staff provides the highest quality of care and is in compliance with The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local requirements.

Designs and evaluates processes to improve systems and patient care results across the continuum of care, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Develops and monitors budgets and resource allocations, ensuring that financial performance is optimized and that quality of care and service is maintained.

Provides ongoing staff development, including training and competency assessment, to ensure that staff has the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and service.

Develops, implements, and monitors departmental policies and procedures that support the organization's goals and business objectives, ensuring that they are met and that quality of care and service is maintained.

Requirements:

Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience or two (2) years of supervisory experience with a Master's degree.

Bachelor's degree required.

Knowledge of The Joint Commission and other local, state, and federal regulations, as well as strong interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years of experience in an outpatient care setting.

BLS certification preferred.

Master's degree preferred.
