Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs to support students' progress.
  • Provide direct therapy to students, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and student progress.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide professional recommendations.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology and integrate best practices into therapy.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Maine.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Maine Department of Education certification for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Strong knowledge of IDEA and other relevant special education regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
