Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Amergis. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for implementing speech/language pathology services to patients. Your primary goal will be to assess and address communication, oral-motor integrity, cognitive status, memory, and problem-solving abilities in patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform assessments of patients' communication, oral-motor integrity, cognitive status, memory, and problem-solving abilities
- Identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care in coordination with the physician
- Administer speech therapy programs utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment
- Instruct patients, caregivers, and other members of the health team regarding their roles in speech therapy
- Recommend communication devices/aids as indicated

Requirements:

- Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology
- Must hold a degree from an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology
- Current licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of assignment
- One year of prior professional Speech Language Pathology experience preferred
