As a member of our dynamic and rapidly evolving team of specialists, you will be responsible for assembling key launch vehicle structures, secondary components, and various spaceflight systems. Your contributions will significantly influence the transformation of rocket manufacturing and operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, assemble, and test the New Glenn (GS1) First Stage Booster following established procedures.
  • Establish new production areas, including necessary tooling and equipment.
  • Support the transition from development to production, including initial articles.
  • Conduct second-party verifications and hardware inspections against engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify malfunctions through modification, rework, repair, and maintenance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes, as required.
  • Set up and utilize a variety of precision calibrated tools, such as torque wrenches and optical measuring instruments.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD practices.
  • Be available for off-shift work, extended hours, and weekends as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and maintain professional relationships.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or a related field.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas is essential: fluid and tubing installation, instrumentation and electrical harness routing, or general aerospace/launch vehicle assembly.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with teams of varied expertise.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic proficiency in digital tools such as Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical capability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at heights on work stands and lifts.
  • Capacity to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting items up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee/asylee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications, trade school training, or a degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated success as a hands-on technical leader.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Curiosity about business operations and efficiency.
  • Experience with large aerospace components and tight-tolerance structures.
  • Familiarity with new product introduction processes.
  • Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing setting.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
  • Military experience is a plus.
