Job Overview

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager

Position Summary:

The individual in this role is accountable for maintaining pristine public and guest areas within the hotel, ensuring that all guest accommodations are thoroughly cleaned and equipped with necessary amenities in line with the hotel's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to relevant Tribal, Federal, and other legal requirements, along with Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest service by attentively addressing the concerns and inquiries of guests and team members.
  • Guarantee complete guest satisfaction.
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints and requests.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all areas serviced by the Housekeeping Department, including guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Document all pertinent information on the Housekeeping Inspection Report.
  • Distribute necessary items to room attendants for stocking in guest rooms.
  • Inform the Maintenance Department of required repairs or maintenance through maintenance work orders or verbal communication.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in training room attendants.
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in assigning room tasks to Room Attendants based on the Housekeeping Report.
  • Act as the Housekeeping Manager in their absence due to days off, illness, or vacation.
  • Assist in cleaning guest rooms or public areas and performing laundry tasks as needed.
  • Exhibit a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents.
  • Promote and embody the core values and skills of KLECH.
  • Manage and safeguard confidential information entrusted to this position.
  • Complete all required training as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements, and IRS Currency Transaction Reports, along with established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR, and SAR as necessary.
  • The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive but provide a general overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. Duties may evolve based on organizational needs and directives from the Director.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of sanitation requirements and the application of relevant chemicals.
  • Familiarity with brand standards and corporate policies related to housekeeping, particularly those concerning the safety and security of guests and hotel property.
  • Ability to lift, stand, walk, bend, reach, and maintain mobility for extended periods, up to four hours.
  • Capability to physically perform all housekeeping tasks, enabling one to assist as needed.
  • Knowledge of stain removal techniques and chemical cleaning agents, as well as the operation of various types of equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow management instructions.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to communicate safety and security information, including product safety labels and emergency instructions.
  • Prior experience as a Room Attendant is required.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.

Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified members of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas and qualified Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, and bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; communicate effectively in person or via telecommunications.
  • Must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Must possess the manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone, and calculator.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office setting and casino floor.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular public interaction.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; may be exposed to high noise levels throughout the day.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours in stressful conditions.
  • May encounter risks associated with resolving issues with difficult guests and highly agitated staff members.
  • Exposure to various lighting types, including artificial fluorescent lights, flashing lights, and multiple colored lights.
  • Travel may be necessary to fulfill one or more essential functions of this position.

Employment Conditions:

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including successful completion of a background check necessary for licensure. Responsible for keeping all documents current and valid.
  • Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation for commuting to and from work.
  • Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policies and procedures, and gaming regulations set forth by KLEC.
