We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing our accounts receivable and ensuring the timely collection of payments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and resolve collections issues with customers, including negotiating payment plans and resolving billing disputes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data in our collections system.
- Reconcile account discrepancies and investigate documentation to identify and resolve issues.
- Record financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all collection activities.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service departments to resolve billing disputes.
- Prepare reports on account status and collection activity for management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a collections role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in managing and resolving collections issues.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures related to collections.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and databases.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
