As an Engineer for Product Development at Generac Power Systems, you will be responsible for designing, validating, and bringing new products to market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety.

Job Description:

  • Provide engineering input to product development projects.
  • Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Evaluate design effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop new products, including creating CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
  2. Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  3. Use CAD systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
  4. Develop less experienced engineers.
  5. Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in new product design and development.
  • Experience conducting analysis using FEA, CFD, etc.
  • Experience with 3D modeling such as Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP.

Estimated Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
