Physical Demands

The Housekeeping Specialist will work in a variety of settings, including outdoors in extreme weather conditions. The position requires frequent travel within the county and the ability to work alone. The worker will be required to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The worker must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions. The worker will be subject to inside and outside environments, extreme heat or cold for periods of over one hour. The worker may be exposed to noise that would cause them to have to shout, as well as a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, etc.

The worker may be exposed to body waste products. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
