Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design mechanical systems and automation solutions for production machinery.
  • Employ CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks, to produce comprehensive mechanical designs and diagrams.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to create cohesive system designs.
  • Perform simulations and analyses to confirm that designs comply with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise the creation, assembly, and evaluation of prototypes.
  • Identify and rectify mechanical design and automation challenges throughout the development and manufacturing processes.
  • Enhance existing automation systems to boost performance, cost-effectiveness, and dependability.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements, materials, and technologies pertinent to mechanical automation.
  • Generate technical documentation, such as design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance instructions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Engineer with an emphasis on custom automation, ideally within the food or packaging sectors.
  • Expertise in CAD software, especially SolidWorks.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, mechanical systems, and materials.
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and related methodologies.
