Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in providing behavior analysis services, behavior analytic consultations, and collaborating with teams to implement behavior intervention plans for Special Education students receiving specially designed instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe students in multiple educational settings and collect data as directed by the BCBA.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA and model behavior change procedures.
  • Conduct training for educational stakeholders and assist with delivering professional development.
  • Complete fidelity checks of behavior intervention plans and various behavior analytic strategies.
  • Deliver services by working with students in a 1:1 setting, as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education or related field preferred.
  • Must hold a current and valid credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) detailing RBT certification.
  • Registered and locatable through the BACB site.
  • Maintain good standing with the BACB throughout employment.
Working Conditions

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and is a standard acceptable level for this environment.

Salary is based on the KCKPS Salary Schedule.
