Position Summary:


As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of all facets of plant automation, electrical apparatus, and machinery.

Utilize your engineering expertise to create machine control systems. Engage in the installation, programming, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Provide technical assistance to plant personnel and contractors. Evaluate plans and technical documents, determine project scope and timelines, and oversee costs and progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot the plant's Process Control system, including SCADA and data servers.

• Collaborate with Process Engineers and other plant staff to enhance process control and data reporting.


• Manage new plant initiatives and the upgrade/redesign of existing systems from conception to completion, including developing scopes of work, soliciting quotes, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating project teams while adhering to budget and timelines.

• Oversee and maintain the plant's power distribution network.

• Proactively seek technologies to enhance safety, product quality, plant profitability, and operational efficiency; minimize waste; and reduce maintenance expenses.

• Assist Maintenance with advanced electrical troubleshooting as required.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

  • OR
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering combined with relevant experience

Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of Electrical Engineering experience in an Industrial Manufacturing/Integrator Engineering/O.E.M. environment.

A minimum of five (5) years of current PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient understanding of plant power distribution systems, programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley & Rockwell required), and electric motor controls.

• Expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting (PanelView & Rockwell Automation software required).

• Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

• Computer proficiency in a MS Windows Environment; skilled in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
