About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at Knauf Insulation. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality and reduce equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to restore equipment and systems to working order efficiently.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute planned preventive maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and ensure smooth operations.
  • Electrical Work: Safely work with electrical systems, including wiring, controls, and electronic components, adhering to all safety regulations and standards.
  • Mechanical Work: Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, such as gearboxes, bearings, belts, and pumps.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team to address maintenance needs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and minimize downtime.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Industrial Truck Operator License.
  • Electrical and mechanical certifications/licenses are a plus.
