Responsibilities:
Key Duties:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to designated departments, product lines, or profit centers, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to customer specifications.
Essential Functions:
Typically oversees a workforce of over 200 employees, both salaried and hourly.
Plan, monitor, and evaluate production and costs to ensure the unit achieves established objectives while upholding safety and quality standards.
Implement and uphold best practices and consistent policies.
Generate and maintain timely and accurate reports on critical production metrics such as efficiency, downtime, and costs.
Facilitate feedback across all levels of the organization.
Develop and execute safety awareness initiatives, address safety concerns, rectify safety-related issues, and lead investigations into safety incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
A BA/BS degree is preferred in Industrial Management, Engineering, or Business.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Proven knowledge of statistical methods and process improvement techniques is essential.
Familiarity with Kaizen, 6S, or other lean manufacturing methodologies is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Strong team-building and leadership capabilities are essential.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with all organizational levels are necessary.
