Key Responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor:
- Oversees, evaluates, and reviews financial and operational audits in alignment with the Internal Audit strategy.
- Guides and develops junior auditors in effective auditing practices, accounting principles, and career development.
- Assesses operational and management workflows, as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of system controls; verifies financial assets and liabilities through documentation comparison.
- Prepares and delivers findings, recommendations, and conclusions from internal audit assessments to management.
- Ensures adherence to established internal control protocols by scrutinizing records, reports, operational methods, and documentation.
- Engages with auditees and accurately documents information in a standardized workpaper format.
- Creates narratives, analyses, process diagrams, transaction tests, and other supporting materials to substantiate findings.
- Organizes documentation within work papers to streamline the review process.
- Conducts audit tests as outlined in the audit programs.
Qualifications for the Senior Internal Auditor:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation preferred or in progress.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing or public accounting external auditing.
