This position works closely with other clinical members of a defined team and serves an integral role in the treatment of patients in the behavioral health continuum.

Broadstep has been a leader in providing a continuum of physical, emotional, and mental support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), mental illness, and co-occurring disorders for over 45 years.

Our North Carolina services include a wide array of mental health and substance use programs and services. The services provided are community-based, outpatient therapy, and crisis services to serve people where they are.

Schedule & Location:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Type:

This is a community-based role that is not eligible for remote work. The Clinical Care Specialist will participate in the initial development, implementation, and ongoing revision of the PCP. They will monitor and follow up on assigned caseloads, assist with individual housing searches, and connect individuals to financial and in-kind resources to set up and maintain their households.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with rehousing individuals if they are no longer able to stay in their unit due to eviction or risk of eviction.
  • Develop daily living skills to stabilize and maintain housing.
  • Participate in the initial development, implementation, and ongoing revision of the PCP.
  • Monitor and follow up on assigned caseloads.
  • Assist with individual housing searches.
  • Connect individuals to financial and in-kind resources to set up and maintain their households.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in a human service field and 1 year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, postgraduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • OR a bachelor's degree in a human service field and 2 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, a post bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • OR a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and 4 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
